Areas of vigilance based on our on-site inspections:
- Radioactive rods formerly installed (site: https://www.irsn.fr/)
- Two down conductors are required today compared to one previously
- Down conductors damaged and partially detached
- No inspection trap to allow installation verification
- Resistance value of earth rods greater than standard
- Dry point unsuited to the dimensions of the building protected
- No T1 surge arrester
Inspections of lightning rods
Initial inspection:
- Visual inspection of the whole installation
- Measurement of the electrical resistance of earth rods
- Testing of the E.S.E.
- Verification of the separation distances with the original technical file
Visual inspection (every two years and after a strike):
- Visual inspection of the whole lightning protection installation
Complete inspection (every four years):
- Visual inspection of the whole installation
- Measurement of the electrical resistance of earth rods
- Testing of the E.S.E.
An inspection report is provided after our visit to your installation.
