Comply with public building access safety standards
“Religious buildings are ancient, hazardous places that can lead to fatal accidents”
Accidents are numerous and mainly due to:
- Damaged or unsuitable floors
- Unstable access
- Lack of PPE
- No handrails
- Wooden ladders in bad condition
To be compliant, religious buildings are subject to public building access safety standards.
Town halls are responsible for:
- Council employees working in the bell tower
- External companies working in the bell tower (roofers, masons, electricians, inspection staff, bell experts, etc.)
